    A World Divided by Wealth Needs a Collective Moral Awakening

    World Poverty Reduction Day is not merely a symbolic observance; it is a moral and spiritual reminder of the profound human crisis that defines our age. The “widening gaps in economic well-being and the mounting weight of international debts” are symptoms of a world order that has lost its moral compass.

    This day should inspire a collective moral awakening. The goal is not simply to reduce poverty but to restructure the global order so that justice and compassion prevail.  “This may help lead humankind towards the model of a new world order where justice will be done to all, friends and foes alike, and where wealth will be shared with the needy not because it is expedient but because this is just.”
