The message of the Qur’an can penetrate the heart of man today as it penetrated human hearts in the past; it can sink into the soul of its seeker in the West as it has sunk into the souls of men elsewhere. The question is primarily of the right approach and suitable opportunities. Our hope and ambition is to make a beginning towards such an approach: to provide the uninitiated reader with an opportunity to develop familiarity with the spirit of the Qur’an, to share its ideals and values, and to begin to think and live with it.
