The philosophic foundations of the Islamic approach to development, discussed by us in detail elsewhere, 27 are as follows:
(1) Tawhid (God’s unity and sovereignty). This lays the rules of God- man and man-man relationship.
(2) Rububiyyah (divine arrangements for nourishment, sustenance and directing things towards their perfection).
