The Muslim world is passing through a revolutionary period, yet the revolutionary process has only begun to unfold itself, and is not in the same phase in all parts of the Muslim lands. This fascinating phenomenon deserves to be understood; but the sad fact is that no one is interested in understanding it, particularly in the West. A plethora of books and articles and reports and travelogues has appeared.
